The Industrial Engineering Laboratory at BINUS @Bekasi welcomed students from BINUS @Semarang who are pursuing the Supply Chain stream for an educational visit to the Smart Factory Laboratory. The visit provided an opportunity for students to gain firsthand exposure to smart manufacturing technologies and explore their applications in supporting modern industrial and supply chain operations.

During the visit, students were introduced to the Smart Factory facilities, which showcase the integration of automation and manufacturing technology within an industrial environment. The laboratory features various technological components, including robotic arms, conveyor systems, and automated material handling facilities. These technologies demonstrate how automation can support production processes and material movement in an integrated manufacturing system.

Throughout the activity, the students were guided by Bayu Pamungkas W., S.T., a Laboratory Assistant from BINUS. During the session, students had the opportunity to observe the laboratory facilities and learn about the systems operating within the Smart Factory environment. The guidance also allowed students to gain a closer understanding of how industrial automation technologies are implemented in manufacturing activities.

The visit also provided valuable insights into the relationship between Smart Factory technology and Supply Chain Management. The integration of automated systems, material handling processes, and manufacturing operations plays an important role in improving the coordination of industrial activities. By observing these technologies directly, students could connect their academic knowledge of supply chain processes with practical applications in an industrial setting.

Through this educational visit, the Industrial Engineering Laboratory at BINUS @Bekasi continues to provide learning opportunities that connect theoretical knowledge with practical industrial applications. The experience is expected to broaden students’ understanding of smart manufacturing and its role in the development of modern supply chain systems.
