  • Interpreting research findings and translating them into actionable business insights

The Gap Semester: Summer Research Internship in the United States

Between his sixth and seventh semesters, Marcel elevated his academic experience by participating in the Summer Research Internship at Colorado State University (CSU), from June 13 to July 16, 2025. Hosted by CSU’s College of Business, this program is known for its selectivity and international scope.

Each year, only a small number of students from each country are chosen—often just one or two. Marcel was honored to be the sole representative from Indonesia, a proud moment for both him and BINUS University.

At CSU, Marcel worked closely with professors and researchers, continuing his focus on supply chain management and data analytics. He explored how businesses leverage data to make smarter decisions and increase supply chain efficiency.

The program also featured seminars, workshops, and networking events. Marcel connected with students from around the world, learned about global business trends, and deepened his research skills in an internationally diverse environment.

Representing Indonesia on the Global Stage

Being selected as the only Indonesian participant in such a competitive program was a major achievement. It represented not just a personal milestone for Marcel, but also a proud moment for BINUS University and Indonesia’s academic community.
