Halmaheranno Aprianto Lolaru Hady, a BINUS University student, represented Indonesia in the men’s 3×3 basketball competition at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. His participation reflects the dedication behind his athletic journey and marks a meaningful milestone for both Ranno and the BINUS community.

Representing a country at an international sporting event is a meaningful opportunity that comes with commitment, discipline, and hard work. For Halmaheranno, widely known as Ranno, competing at the 2026 Asian Games was an important step in his development as a basketball athlete and an opportunity to represent Indonesia on a major continental stage.

Representing Indonesia on the International Stage

Ranno joined Daffa Dhoifullah, Erick Ibrahim Junior, and Mohammed Aymane Garudi Arip as members of Indonesia’s men’s 3×3 basketball team. Their participation followed a period of preparation and selection, during which Ranno was among the players called up to the national training camp ahead of the tournament.

During the group stage, Indonesia recorded one victory against Bahrain, alongside defeats to Qatar and Chinese Taipei. The team subsequently advanced to the play-in round, where its journey ended following a match against China.

While the team did not advance further in the competition, taking part in the Asian Games remains a valuable experience. Competing against international opponents offers athletes an opportunity to learn, adapt, and continue developing their skills at a higher level. Ranno’s involvement in the tournament is a meaningful part of his journey as an athlete.

A Journey Worth Recognizing

Ranno’s participation at the Asian Games is a moment worth celebrating. Earning the opportunity to represent Indonesia reflects the commitment required to pursue competitive basketball and the dedication involved in preparing for an international event.

His journey also highlights the different ways BINUS students can pursue their potential beyond academic activities. Through sport, students can develop qualities such as discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and the ability to grow through challenging experiences.

BINUS appreciates Ranno’s efforts and dedication in representing Indonesia at the 2026 Asian Games. Although the competition did not end with the result the team had hoped for, the experience he gained remains an important part of his athletic journey. His participation is a proud moment for the BINUS community and an encouragement for fellow students to continue pursuing their passions and making the most of every opportunity.

Congratulations to Halmaheranno Aprianto Lolaru Hady on representing Indonesia at the 2026 Asian Games. BINUS wishes him continued growth and success in his basketball journey.
